we bringing sexyback

Posted by the prisoner's wife On 10:23 PM

beloved and i are currently reading Mable Iam's book, Sex and the Perfect Lover. i know what you're thinking. why are we reading a book about sex, seeing as we are separated by 3212 miles? well, it's simple really. this book not only discusses ways to improve your sex life, but it also deals with connecting with your partner, so that you can share a deep, fulfilling love.

beloved and i have been on a rocky road for a few months now. we osculate between GREAT days and GREAT arguments. we have been in sort of an uneven place, not really connecting fully, but not willing to call it all off. so here we are, reading this book, and it has been good for us.

since beginning the book, we've had so much to talk about. we have so much more to say than just what our day consisted of, or what the baby did. we actually have grown folks stuff to discuss. after we finish this book, we will probably be reading her follow-up, I Love You, Now What? and hopefully, that will give us even further insight into this mystical, magical thing we call love.

have you read this book? what are your favorite love/relationship books?

I like the Songs of Solomon in the Bible. It has some of the best love poetry and instruction that I've ever read. I need to revisit it because it's been a long time.

Haven't read it but I would love to. I find it incredibly sexy/beautiful just knowing you and beloved are reading a book together, despite the miles between you.

Xtina: this is like the 3rd book we've read together. it has always helped...it's just about being OPEN to reading them. but it's been good so far!

I would love to get Boocakes to read something other than a newspaper. If I want him to experience something different, I read to him. It's delightfully intimate, and he can listen alot longer than I thought he'd be able to, being the impatient soul that he is. I'm going to check this book out though.

Rose: thanks for stopping by my blog. if you have been reading my blog, as you say, then you already know i'm not crazy. life throws you curve balls & unlike many others, i (we've) decided to adhere to our vowels "through good times and bad." it is what it is...whether he'd be bloggin while waiting is a question i don't have to ask myself. visit any prison & you'll find wives/girlfriends who are teachers, nurses, doctors, scholars, writers, etc. etc. this life isn't for every one, however, if you have REAL questions you can approach me without all the finger-pointing and head shaking. feel me?

    peace.
